Scope and Contents:
Architectural drawings prepared for the construction, alteration, and renovation of school buildings. The School Construction Authority was created in 1988 by New York State to design, construct, and rehabilitate public schools. It assumed possession of the drawings from the Board of Education, where they had been produced by its Building Bureau and successor agencies. Scope and Contents:
In approximately 1980 the Division of School Buildings began a project to microfilm the bulk of its collection of architectural drawings. By 2003 the records were under the care of the School Construction Authority, which transferred them to the Municipal Archives. The records consist of two subseries.
