The primary group relate to investigations of corruption in the Bureau of School Buildings, ranging from bribes by contractors to acceptance of a bottle of whiskey at New Years. Also included are investigations of the Bureau of Community Education and of the gift to the Superintendent of a boat made by students. The other major topic is the replacement of the entire Board of Education in 1961, partly due to the school construction scandals.
