Legislative Representative to Albany, State Senate bill files for 1981 to 1982

Description

The accession consists of printed Senate bills; near-print memoranda of support or opposition; reports; lists and an occasional piece of correspondence; and staff notes or annotations relating to the role of the local (New York City) Office of the Mayor's Legislative Representative. The preponderance of the material is duplicative and the files are in fact referred to by the Albany office as the "Duplicate Files" of their apparently much more extensive original files on pending Senate legislation. At first glance there does not appear to be anything documenting a separate or added role for the New York City Office so the research value of this material appears minimal, whereas that held in Albany appears to be considerable, if mainly from the direction of the Corporation Counsel. Arranged numerically by Senate bill number.
