Legislative Representative to Albany correspondence with State Senators for 1979 to 1982

Description

The accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, routing slips, and some other items documenting the role of the Legislative Representative as liaison between the Mayor's Office and the State Senate (see ACC1983-074 for Assembly). The bulk of the material appears to consist of Senatorial constituent complaints, requests, and grievances (e.g. municipal employees) with the City's response. The Senators represented include not only the twenty-five from New York City but most, if not all, of the sixty-one total. Some Senatorial folders were misfiled in the Assembly boxes and the opposite may also be true. Arranged alphabetically by name of Senator and then chronological within folder.
