Traffic Safety Project photographs for 1982, 1993 to 1995


Description

The accession consists of reels of 35mm color positives documenting New York City street crossings and highways. The images contain signs, sign boards, crosswalk marking, and Department of Transportation signals for street crossings, section by section, with numerical codes. Most of the reels are on standard 35mm microfilm reels in boxes. They are arranged alphabetically by the five boroughs and thereunder by negative numbers and identified by location, date and reel number. A few reels are in the form of unidentified film cores. The material includes .75 cubic feet of identified film boxes with the reels missing. The accession is related to Accession 1991-005, Traffic Safety Project Photos (on reels). The accession comes with a special viewing projector. It can't be viewed on a microfilm reader.
