The material consists of one volume of dockets book containing handwritten information about cases concerning offenses by adolescent children in the First District, Lower Manhattan (The Tombs). The information includes: magistrate, complainant's name and address, defendant, residence, sex, age, color, nativity, nature and date of complaint, arresting officer's name and date of arrest, precinct or children's society, disposition and date, and remarks. The nature of complaints includes larceny, disorderly conduct, and truancy. The entries are alphabetical and thereunder by date of complaint.
