Description
The accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, resumes, reports, timesheets, business cards received, speeches, clippings and other press related material, and photographs. The files document the Mayor's activities in Office, and subjects of special interest to the Mayor, the Communications Director, and the Press Secretary. The records further document the activities and duties of John (Jack) Deacy, who served as First Deputy Press Secretary from 1997-1998. It also contains some material from Deacy's previous position in the Public Information Office of the Housing Authority, from the mid-1990s, and samples of his writings from his earlier career as a journalist. The Press Office transferred the accession to the Archives on January 2, 2002. Arranged alphabetically.
