Description

The accession consists of four volumes. The 1868 title, in one bound, color inked, volume is "Maps of Farms, Commonly Called the Blue Book, 1815. Drawn from the original that is in the Street Commissioner's Office in the City of New York together with lines of streets and Avenues laid out by John Randel Jr., 1819-1820" by Otto Sackersdorff, City Surveyor (shows above 1st Street). The 1881 title, comprising one volume, partially bound, color inked version and a two volume set containing the same information (the borough in its entirety), bound, color inked version is "Certified Copies of Original Maps of Property in New York City Filed in the Register's Office and Elsewhere..." by Spielmann and Brush, Hoboken. Both show no longer extant roads, individual structures, and topographical features. All volumes are in fair condition.
