City Hall construction cash disbursements account book for 1802 to 1814
Description
The accession consists of a single handwritten bound volume. It contains the accounts paid for the construction of the present City Hall, the cornerstone of which was laid in 1803. The accounts are divided generally by the types of materials used and the construction services performed. John McComb's services as architect are included. There is an alphabetical index in the front of the volume to the accounts. It has been partially disbound and stored in a slipcase. The paper is in fair condition. The original cover is noted as "number 1337, City Hall Cash Disbursements, 1802-1814." Arranged alphabetically.
