Description

The accession consists of a single handwritten volume containing an hour by hour, minute by minute record of each day's events from morning roll call and inspection of equipment, through alarms received, building inspection, mechanics reporting to repair equipment, firemen dispatched on special assignments, delivery of supplies, and inspections by officers. It contains a typed company roster and lists of telephone numbers of different divisions of the fire department and other city agencies. Engine Company No. 77 existed from 1903-1959. The item is similar to Accession 1989-020, Company Journals of Engine 76 and Hook and Ladder 22 and Accession 1994-020, Journals of Engine 24. Arranged chronologically.
