Application to construct a water tunnel in Brooklyn and drawing of water tunnel for 1910 to 1911
Description
The accession consists of an application to construct and maintain a water tunnel under Washington Street, near Plymouth Street, in Brooklyn, accompanied by a drawing of the tunnel. The application is in the form of a printed resolution by the Board of Estimate approving an application by the Robert Gair Company to build the tunnel, dated to Board of Estimate minutes October 28, 1910 and January 19, 1911, accompanied by a receipt for payment of the franchise fee to the Bureau for Collection of City Revenue and Markets, March 23, 1911. The drawing of the tunnel, dated October 17, 1910, is on linen and appears to be a Photostat copy with hand coloring in ink or crayon. It is in good condition.
