Description
Howard Golden served as Brooklyn Borough President from 1978 to 2001. The accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, notes, printed material, press clippings, and other material. It was used by Gary Brooks, James Gardella, Natalie Gomez, Joan Leavitt, and others to research issues in their roles as assistants advising the Borough President. Their areas of responsibility included Charter Revision, criminal justice, economic development, ethnic affairs, housing, regional planning, transportation, and waste management. The last five boxes are printed materials. Boxes are identified by subject or assistant's name and arranged therein alphabetically, often in fair order. The material will need to be more formally identified and organized by provenance before processing.
