Description

Richard Schwartz, appointed to the position of Senior Advisor in 1994, was responsible for developing reform initiatives designed to reorganize and consolidate city agencies, re-engineer city processes, and establish new ways of delivering public services through managed competition and public/private initiatives. This included the Administration's capital project programs, general policy, and strategic development. The accession consists of invitations, correspondence, and notes. The invitations and supporting materials, arranged on a weekly basis, include meeting agendas and advance materials for some public events. Schwartz and/or other administration staff attended the meetings. The material was processed by the Winthrop Group who provided an inventory, as well as CD-ROM and microfilm copies of the records.
