Get well cards sent to Mayor Giuliani in 2000


Description

The accession consists of greeting cards, correspondence, printed materials, books, videotapes, audiotapes, and artifacts. The cards were sent as get well wishes to the Mayor during the period he was afflicted with prostate cancer. There are two components to the accession: the cards themselves (12.5 cubic feet) and separated attachments in the formats described above (5 cubic feet). The cards have thank you replies attached. They are stored in .25 cubic feet horizontal drop front boxes, 3 or 4 to a 1 cubic foot box. They are arranged chronologically by year at box level and thereunder randomly. The attachments generally dealt with prayer or cancer recovery and are stored randomly in 1 cubic feet boxes. The Winthrop Group processed the records and provided a box-level inventory. They did not reformat the material.
