The accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, and printed material sent to Mayor Giuliani during the last year of his administration, 2001. The records contain both received and sent correspondence. The correspondence is with constituents, government officials, and members of the business, institutional, and legal communities. It is in alphabetical order by surname of the correspondent. The accession contains the last of eight years of general correspondence generated during the administration of Mayor Giuliani. There is no index to the material. Additional correspondence from 2001 can be found in Accession 2002-006, World Trade Center (86 cubic feet). Critical mail was divided from general correspondence when the material was processed by Winthrop Group in 2006, who also provided an inventory and a microfilm and CD-ROM copy of the records. During processing the materials was reduced to 35 cubic feet.
