Description

Ninfa Segarra was appointed Deputy Mayor for Education and Human Services in 1994 to advise and assist the Mayor regarding all policies and programs pertaining to education and human services. The material includes correspondence, memoranda, notes, reports, and printed material. The subgroup consists of approximately four types of accession, maintained by Segarra and different assistants, to organize, research, and reference the activities of the Office: Correspondence Responses (General Correspondence; 18 cubic feet); Complaints (Constituent Correspondence; 11 cubic feet); Subject File (7 cubic feet); and Agency Files (Departmental Files; 96 cubic feet), arranged alphabetically by the agencies under the Deputy Mayor's responsibility. There is some material maintained from the Dinkins Administration for reference.
