Description

The accession consists of correspondence, notes, faxes, proclamations, resolutions, telegrams, greeting cards, and some attachments of photographs and printed material, sent to Mayor Giuliani showing support for the New York City after the World Trade Center (WTC) attack on September 11, 2001.The material was sent by heads of states, ambassadors, United States and foreign government officials at every level, particularly mayors, religious and business leaders, and prominent private citizens, US and foreign. The accession may have been separated from the larger group of correspondence Accession 2002-006, World Trade Center mail. Replies are attached to some letters. Some letters not written in English were fully or partially translated. The accession is arranged alphabetically by surname.
