Building plans for the Strand Theatre, Manhattan block 1019, lot 24
Description
This accession consists of the new building, alteration, elevator, plumbing and drainage application plans filed for the Strand Theatre, 231-239 W. 47th St. Manhattan Block 1019, Lot 24. The building has since been demolished. This includes: new building application 12 from 1913, submitted by Thomas W. Lamb Architect, with 22 blueprints, alteration application 1872, from 1927, with six blueprints, elevator application 776 from 1927, with six blueprints; alteration application 326 from 1940, (installation of air conditioning), with three blueprints, and building notice 2740 from 1945, with one blueprint. Materials are arranged numerically.
