Queens deed index
Description
Accession consists of 3 x 5 inch file cards. The index runs from A through C. Each card bears a single entry, which may be a town, corporation, street, or thoroughfare. Most entries are identified with the word, "deed." Each card also has a numerical designation on the upper right hand corner. Example: “Arverne-by-the-sea, deeds for streets 1-15,” “Cook Ave and Gay St. Elmhurst (deed) 1-92.” The Municipal Archives does not hold the records to which this index belongs. It is unknown where the records might exist. Materials are arranged alphabetically.
