Description

In 1898, the Department of Docks and Ferries was established. It was responsible for all municipally-owned ferries and city-owned wharf property and the regulation of privately-owned wharf property. This accession consists of subject files of the Department of Docks and Ferries, including correspondence, clippings, leases, and renewals. In addition, there are also blue prints for South Ferry Terminals, as well as maps and pamphlets. Materials are arranged alphabetically.
