Description
This accession consists of various maps used by the Bureau of Franchises in rendering franchise awards, documenting and monitoring franchise operations, and providing supplementary information relevant to these matters. Map titles, for example, include, "The BMT System of Transportation in the Borough of Brooklyn," or, "Franchises Bus Routes in the Borough of Queens," and "New York World's Fair 1964-1965 Flushing Meadow Park." Related materials include a map of, "Transformers, Vaults, and Poles -- Rapid Transit Lines Existing and Proposed -- 1931," organizational charts of the Nassau Electric Rail Road Co, and the Driving Road Chart of the Counties Surrounding New York City. There is no discernible arrangement.
