Subject files of Office of Community Relations Directors Pam Elam and Anne Strahle

Description

Pam Elam was appointed Director of the Office of Community Relations in 1990. This accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, reports, press releases, schedules, invitations, news clippings and printed material. It was used to research and analyze public affairs issues, to serve as constituency liaison within the Comptroller's area of interest in local economic development and responsibility, and to advise the public on the City's fiscal condition. It was also used to plan and coordinate the Comptroller's personal appearances. The records include those of Anne Strahle, who succeeded Elam in 1993 and maintained her predecessor's records for reference. The records are not in order but a list of folder titles, by box, accompanies them.
