Description
Ruth Messinger served as Borough President of Manhattan from 1990 to 1997. Her responsibilities included collaboration with the Mayor's Office and City Council, review of land use, economic development, and monitoring and modifying delivery of city services. This accession consists of memoranda, minutes, reports, and correspondence. The files were kept to monitor Community Boards 1-12 and for reference in developing policy within the Borough President's areas of responsibility. Memoranda consist of summations of activities at board meetings by Office staff and the Borough President's reports to the boards. Records include Board and Committee minutes and reports issued by Community Boards. The files are arranged by Community Board number, thereunder in reverse chronological order.
