Description

Jerome Hornblass was appointed Commissioner of the Addiction Services Agency in 1974 with responsibilities for providing treatment and preventive services for alcohol and drug addiction in city facilities and oversight for similar contracted services. This accession consists of correspondence, memos, tracking sheets, and some reports and other attachments. Although the correspondence is assigned a tracking number it is arranged in chronological order by the date of outgoing correspondence. Correspondence is the Commissioner's, attached with tracking sheets indicating staff who were assigned attention to the matter. Correspondence is with the Mayor, Deputy Mayors and other members of the administration, agency heads, public officials and affiliated service providers. Arrangement of materials is chronological.
