Joint Commission on Integrity in the Public Schools files on referred cases for 1989 to 1990
Description
The Commission, known informally as the Gill Commission, chaired by James Gill, was formed in 1988 to investigate corruption, impropriety and mismanagement in the operation of the New York City public school system. It was to make recommendations to improve future performance, including the role of the system's own Inspector General's Office. The accession consists of copies of letters of complaint, complaint forms, and correspondence. The material relates to investigative cases first established in ACC-1999-016, copies of which were referred, by jurisdiction, to the Inspector General's Office. Each case has a form cover letter of referral. The cases are arranged by their original number.
