Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani issue mail for 1999 to 2001

Description

The accession consists of constituent correspondence, mostly incoming, to Mayor Giuliani that focus on specific issues. The correspondence is handwritten, typed, or printed form letters and cards. Replies were usually sent as form letters. Generally the replies were not maintained with the original correspondence. The folders are arranged by year and then alphabetically by subject. Sometimes the total number of letters on a specific issue were written on the subject folders, or lists of all correspondents (indicating replies) were attached, or both. The material relates to the Giuliani issue mail for circa 1996-2001 (Accession 2005-053) and two groupings of issue mail created by the Winthrop Group. One grouping was a processed sample of two cubic feet and the other is the unprocessed group of issue mail from which the sample was taken. Accession 2005-071 consists of a sample of 2001 issue mail created by the Winthrop Group and .5 cubic feet of this material is on a shelf on the 4th floor center aisle, end-top shelves.
