Negatives used for a 1991 photographic exhibit on life of Mayor David N. Dinkins

Description

The material consists of 8x10 inch black and white negatives. The negatives were used to produce a photographic panel exhibit at Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on the life of Mayor David N. Dinkins in February 1991 for Black History Month, "History in the making: New York City's first Black mayor." The exhibit was created with a consultant curator, in conjunction with the Press Office and the Mayor's official photographer at the time. It made use of primarily private photographs collected for the exhibit. Some of the photo panels from the exhibit are in storage at Bush Terminal in Section A. It is believed that the photos have identifying information on them, though the negatives do not. Some of the panels are still in the possession of the consultant curator.
