Description

Mary Garety served as Community Liaison for the Office of the Manhattan Borough President. The accession consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, reports, and printed material. The primary responsibility of the Community Liaison is to inform local communities, particularly through the community boards, of the activities of the Borough President's Office and in turn monitor and assist them with their concerns. Primary matters concerned tenancy, land use and development, and delivery of government services. The Community Liaison maintained some records from the previous Borough President administration for reference. Arranged alphabetically.
