Lists of names of victims of the 2001 World Trade Center attack read at the memorial service in 2006
Description
The accession consists of texts used by speakers at the World Trade Center (WTC) site for the fifth anniversary of the WTC attack on September 11, 2001. The texts are arranged into two sets: each consisting of the names of half the victims read from different podiums "A" and "B." The lists of names is divided into sets of two books each, each 100 pages for each of the two podiums, double sided sheets inserted in plastic sleeves in loose-leaf binders. The books in each set differ in that one has pronunciation guides (for rehearsal) for some names; the others (for the ceremony) do not. There is an extra copy, on plain papers of the rehearsal copy for the ceremony at podium B. There is an extra copy for podium A that has the names to be read by Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani in front and was probably used by him. There are a few inserts indicating which people were to read which names and a copy of an email to T. Jackson making note about one of the names. Arranged alphabetically.
