New York County District Attorney Supreme Court closed cases for 1970 to 1978
Description
The accession contains adjudicated cases that had been in the New York State Supreme Court. They were maintained by the New York County District Attorney's Office. The files consist of Grand Jury minutes, transcriptions, memoranda, subpoenas, affidavits, statements of the accused, and motions made by the people. Some files may also include laboratory reports, narcotic reports, and sealed cases. The records are arranged chronologically by year, and thereunder numerically by case number. Only five cubic feet of the files are prior to 1973; the remainder date from 1973-1978. The records are related to Accession 1993-039, New York County Supreme Court closed cases, 1952-1966, as well as other accessions of closed cases from the New York County District Attorney's Office.
