Hudson Yards development records

Description

Between 2005 and 2007 the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), the State of New York, and the City of New York opened the West and East Side rail yards to private development. The area (bounded by West 42nd and 43rd Streets, 7th and 8th Avenues, West 29th and 30th Streets, and the West Side Highway) was dubbed the Hudson Yards Project. These records contain the request for proposals (RFP) and related material from the five corporations providing bids for both the West Side and East Side Yards. The records also include materials related to the evaluation process conducted by the MTA, Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), Hudson Yards Development Corporation (HYDC) and other entities.
