The Office of State Legislative Affairs represents the Mayor and City Agencies with the New York State Legislature, the Governor, and State Agencies and reviews all state legislation which affects the City of New York. The accession consists of Legislative Coordinating Committee files for 1988 and includes correspondence, memoranda, notes, reports, lists of meeting attendees, meeting notices and minutes, copies of proposed legislation and bills, state aid requests, and related legislative documents. Correspondence is primarily with New York City agency heads and other government officials. The materials were used by the Office of State Legislative Affairs to review programs submitted by mayoral agencies for action, and to recommend proposed legislation for inclusion in the City's legislative program. The accession is arranged in alphabetical order by proper name or agency. It is related to Accession 1983-077, Legislative Coordinating Committee subject files, 1978-1980.
