Queens Borough President photographs and transparencies for 1971 to 1998
Description
The accession consists of 8x10 inch black-and-white prints; 3x5 inch color prints; black-and-white contact sheets; 35mm black-and-white and color negatives; and color transparencies. The images were used and/or maintained by the Queens Borough President's Public Information Officer. The images document the activities of the various Queens Borough Presidents, including Claire Shulman, Donald Manes, and Helen M. Marshall, and their staff. About one-third of the black-and-white prints, including press releases and clippings, are fully identified individually and are in chronological order in folders. Another third of material consisting of slides, negatives, and prints have some subject or chronological identification, particularly at folder-level, but with no order. The remaining material has no arrangement and description. There are a few images prior to 1971 and there are gaps in the dates. Arranged chronologically.
