Description

The accession consists of bound minutes and reports. The material documents meetings and activities of the Board of Child Welfare. The Board was responsible for support of poor children in New York City as part of the City's structure of agencies for broad support of citizens in poverty. Also included are minutes and reports of a committee of the Board on families. In 1941, the Board was subsumed by the Department of Welfare. The minutes and reports contain much financial data on individual case support given by the Board and Committee. Arranged chronologically.
