City Planning Commission capital budget subject files for 1962 to 1969
Description
The City Planning Commission, among other duties, reviews all New York City capital construction projects during the approval and budget preparation processes. The Commission collaborated with the Board of Estimate, up to the Board's end in the early 1990s, in this work. This is within the Commission's overall responsibility for preparing a master plan for New York City construction. The accession consists of reports, correspondence, memoranda, and various budget documents including proposals and justifications. City agencies and the Borough Presidents submitted the material to the Commission for review. The material is arranged alphabetically by the names of agencies within two chronological sequences: 1962 and 1963 in Box 1; and 1963 to 1969 in Box 2.
