Description
The accession consists of one volume of handwritten entries on preprinted pages recording correspondence received by the Mayor's Office (Mitchel Administration) in February 1914. Entries include: serial number (assigned each incoming correspondence item, by day, in approximate chronological order); name and address of sender; subject; references (designated by a single letter, meaning unknown); out of office (designated by surname, name of department, and a date; tickler days (designated by a date); files (designated by a date); and class (designated by a series of capital letters such as DXSB, DXSK, and MSA, meaning unknown). The pages are arranged in reverse numerical order and chronological order. The bindings are partially broken.
