Department of Finance vouchers and bills for 1901 to 1908, 1910 to 1912, and 1914
Description
This accession consists of vouchers and bills. They cover many areas of city expenditure including, repairs, supplies, services and department payrolls. Agencies submit their own vouchers to the Department of Finance with a billing statement from a vendor. The vendors represent a wide spectrum of trades and business. The expenditure is approved and attached to a Finance Department voucher specific to the agency and type of expense account or fund. The complete vouchers are numbered in approximate chronological order, sequenced by the day and month the expense was received within each year. The documents are tri-folded, bundled, and in good condition. They are arranged chronologically.
