Description

This accession consists of ordinances, correspondence, requisitions, personnel lists and financial records. The Fund was established by the Common Council in July 1863 to aid volunteer soldiers families. This accession documents the operations of the fund and the financial conditions of soldiers' families. This accession was first inventoried in 1977, along with other Civil War-related material, and provisionally assigned an accession number that was never used. It was fully processed with a finding aid and folder-level inventory in 1994. The material is arranged alphabetically.
