Civil War Union Army field reenlistment rolls for 1864
Description
This accession consists of two bound volumes. They list soldiers re-enlisting in the Union Army in the field for January-March and March-May 1864. The following fields are included; the re-enlistee's registration number; name; residence; age; occupation; nativity; regiment; date of discharge and date and place of reenlistment; date of termination if not reenlisted; name of mustering officer; amount county bounty paid ($300), and number of certificate to Comptroller. There are several categories for entries left blank; commanding officer making certificate, an official countersignature, (recruiting) agent, and remarks. This accession is related to accessions 2010-082, 2010-084, and 2010-089. The volumes are arranged chronologically.
