Gibraltar Construction Company account book for 1949 to 1953

Description

This accession consists of an account book and a folder of loose ledger pages recording cash receipts and disbursements for 1949-1951 of the Gibraltar Construction Company, 10 Van Street, New Brighton, Staten Island. Accompanying the materials is a receipt of the New York City Department of Investigation indicating the return of these materials and others to the company (although these were clearly not returned). The source of the materials is believed to be the District Attorney, Queens County, largely because they were found together with district attorney files on a different case (Clemente/Brinkman, Accession 2012-033) involving construction contracts. The material is arranged chronologically.
