Description

The accession consist of 18 scrapbooks related to the career of Edgar Bromberger as deputy sanitation commissioner (1934-1937), as city magistrate (1937-1945), and as chief magistrate (1945-1950). The scrapbooks were originally donated to the Museum of the City New York by Bromberger. They contain clippings, letters, photos, and ephemera and cover the years 1936-1956. The scrapbooks are arranged chronologically.
