Scope and Content Note
This series contains correspondence, memoranda, and similar items which were sent to the Mayor by various City departments and agencies. The Commissioner of Accounts files consist of detailed reports regarding examinations made by the Commissioners into various practices of City agencies. A majority of these investigations concern faulty street paving or are financial in nature.
