Description
The accession consists of bound, printed volumes that primarily contain annual reports of the Department of Docks (1870-1897, 1919-1942) and its successor agency, the Department of Docks and Ferries (1898-1919). There is also some material dating from after 1942 that was presumably created under the Department of Marine and Aviation (was an agency from 1942-1969). Included in some of the volumes are minutes of meetings of the Board of the Department of Docks and Ferries. The volumes are in good shape, except that a few of the earliest volumes that require rebinding. Arranged chronologically by date of report or meeting (interfiled in bound volumes).
