The accession consists of a single, handwritten, bound volume. The volume is divided into two types of short sequences of separate pages headed 1) either by North (Hudson) River or East River 2) either by North (Hudson) River or Harlem River. Below these headings in numerical order are sets of numbers, in numerical order of orders issued by the agency Secretary for work on wharves, docks, and piers, and a brief description of the type of work to be done and the identity of the facility worked on. The sequences themselves are in no apparent arrangement. order.
