World Trade Center site memorabilia from memorial service held in 2007
Description
On September 11, 2007 Mayor Michael Bloomberg held a memorial service at the World Trade Center site for the victims of the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. Family and friends gathered at the service and placed assorted memorabilia into and around a single, approximately sixteen-sided, water-filled reflecting pool, with two square insets in it, on the North Tower footprint of the World Trade Center. Included are American flags, ribbons, artificial and natural wreaths and flowers, pins, candles, greeting cards, fliers, posters, photographs, Mass cards, stuffed toys, caps, and other material. The manuscript items are placed in half cubic foot boxes and oversized boxes. The artifacts are placed in cubic foot boxes and oversized boxes. A portion of the paper material is damaged (soiled, water stained, torn).
