Scope and Contents

Leaders and members of New York City parent and parent-teacher associations, along with other groups and individuals invited by the United Parents Association to participate, met yearly around a given theme to discuss its implications for the city’s public schools and children. Organized by parents, educators, and community leaders, the meetings served as an important forum for exchanging information and ideas.
