Metropolitan Vocational High School curriculum and teacher narratives, 1940-1945

Scope and Contents

The Metropolitan Vocational High School offered a range of programs adapted to particular New York industries. The fields emphasized varied over time, and ranged from butchering to navigation; the high school incorporated the city’s school ship. Franklin Keller, the principal, wrote narratives of sea journeys he took to better design the school’s seafaring program.
