Scope and Contents
The Senate Committees subseries (1949-1961) is comprised of four cubic feet of publications from various committees, though it largely consists of publications of the Senate Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee to Investigate the Administration of the Internal Security Act and Other Internal Security Laws. Also present are published materials from the Senate Committee on Government Operations and its Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Titles in the subseries include: Communist Propaganda Activities in the U.S. (1952); Communist Tactics in Controlling Youth Organizations (1952); and Subversive Influences in the Educational Process (1952), featuring a testimony by Superintendent William Jansen.
