Frank D. Wilsey scrapbooks, 1905-1919

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of eight scrapbooks. The original volume numbers have been retained, indicating that at least five others may have existed. The scrapbooks contain correspondence, clippings, and memorabilia, including invitations and programs for meetings of educational associations and political organizations. A large number of elaborate multi-course dinner menus are included. Notable also are programs for events at individual public schools and a series of photographs of school groups celebrating the victory in World War I.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

In 1976, the Board of Education placed the collection in the custody of Teachers College, Columbia University; it was transferred to the Municipal Archives in 2003.
